Through the dedication of the Home's staff and volunteers the Lutheran Home was also identified in the book "The Inside Guide to America's Nursing Homes" as one of the best nursing homes in Ohio. Lutheran Home is an independent not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing a Christian residence primarily to older adults. Our facility is open to individuals of any faith, nearly 40% of our residents are Roman Catholic.
Lutheran Home offers rehabilitation, skilled nursing and long-term care services. Unlike most nursing homes, Lutheran Home has nearly all private resident rooms (160 private rooms and 16 double occupancy rooms). The Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve has 310 employees and nearly 100 volunteers. Through the dedication of our employees and volunteers Lutheran Home in 2006 achieved a 96% resident satisfaction survey in which 100% of residents stated they would recommend Lutheran Home to friends and family. In the Department of Aging family members satisfaction survey released in 2007, Lutheran Home was the top scoring facility on the West Side of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County for the 2 key survey questions, “Are You Satisfied With The Care At the Nursing Home” and “Would You Recommend the Nursing Home to Others”. The survey also found Lutheran Home was one of the few nursing homes across the state that scored above the state average in each of the 54 survey questions.
Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve, which began in 1932, is operated by an Association of 75 Lutheran churches in northeast Ohio.
Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve is active in providing education for the community, students and other professionals in aging services. The organization offers a speakers’ bureau which provides complimentary programs to community and church groups. Lutheran Home collaborates with several local colleges as an educational/clinical site for students in nursing, therapy, social work and administration.
